So this is kind of stupidly late given the various episodes I'm talking about are all at least two weeks old even in terms of UK airdates but NEVER MIND.

I give you a trio of crime show finales (well 2 season closing episodes and one mid-season cliffhanger episode) All three were good, all three made me cry because I'm a sap and all three held the ( Read more... )

That CSI NY was weird wasn't it? And, to be honest, if it had been the last one ever I would have been a bit disappointed. As my dad would say, there weren't many goals. I do find the closeness between Mac and Jo a bit odd, it makes me wonder if I've missed something to explain it because they seemed to go very quickly from being new colleagues to something much deeper than that. But then I really like Jo so I'm quite glad of it!

I'm quite liking CSI as well at the moment. Normally I don't like it when people leave but I felt like it was right for Cath to go and move it on a bit (again though, I thought that she and DB seemed to get close really quickly, even more so than Jo and Mac, and it just doesn't seem that realistic).

With Mac & Jo it feels weirdly like she really is a replacement!Stella which is icky and weird- there was an episode recently where she straightened Mac's tie or brushed his jacket or something I got a real flashback to season one Mac & Stella IDK

Maybe they feel like they (both shows) need the close tie between the male & female leads/bosses (and Jo does feel like a second in command) and forget that both Grissom&Cath and Mac&Stella had so much more history behind them!

I sometimes feels as if they are writing Stella for Jo (and I really like Jo). I have it in my mind that Jo and Mac knew each for several years before she started work in NY, although this might just be my mind taking an semi-logical leap into the dark...
