I've spent the afternoon (well part of it) making chocolate orange cupcakes (omg having a cooker back is so wonderful ♥) whilst my parents put up some new fencing in our garden. Pretty sure I got the best of that deal.
Tonight we're off to see Top Hat which is rather lovely :-D So I probably ought to catch up on past reviews again *g*

I sort of enjoyed Travelling Light, I just felt it wasn't a terribly well written play - most of the characters just seemed to be caricature, and I wanted to slap the two main characters. Lauren O'Neil, on the other hand, was perfect and I loved her. :)

I though the caricature was a bit deliberate- because it was always halfway between reality and the film script? But it certainly wasn't even remotely one of the better plays the National has had on. I liked the ideas behind it a lot though. And that the main character was clearly awful in the end, even if he did get off VERY lightly.

You obviously put more thought into than I did (I *was* watching it at the Lowry where I've found the audience seem to suck the life out of plays, so that may have influenced me. They're just not terribly receptive, especially if it's something a bit different). It did have good ideas, and I think that's what disappointed me most - they could have done so much more with those ideas. But never mind. Damien Molony looked pretty. :D

I think I also went into it WANTING to like it? Because I was told I wouldn't and I'm a bit contrary like that *g* Damien Molony did indeed look pretty, I totally get what the Being Human fans have been saying.

Much Ado: Don't you think the Prince looked like a 50s movie star? Everyone's living in the wrong age for their face!

Actually Benedick could have been the comic relief in a silent movie quite easily too.
