I realise that generally my reviews aren't so much reviews as enthusiastic burbling but I'm rather afraid this one may be even less coherent than usual. I tried writing it earlier this week and then got distracted at the pretty memories and wrote myself round in a circle and had to go away and look at pictures of the Iolanthe cast... *coughs ( Read more... )

I think my friend Chris is going to Australia on the Pirates tour & he's very excited about it!

It's such a fab production and with the chance to go to Australia who wouldn't be excited! Has your friend been in any of the G&S productions (or this Pirates) before? *is nosey*

I'm just really hoping they do a show or two here before they go...

He's not a performer, I think he was the MD (or some other kind of musical behind the scenes type position). I get a bit confused but I think he's been involved in a couple of other G&S things before at the Union Theatre and and other places.

I should be seeing him next weekend so I can ask if they're planning to do any shows here if you want? I know he's been on tour with Oliver (I think) for the last 6 months or so but that finishes next week so it might be that they're planning something.

Oh okay HIM, yes he was the MD for Pirates & Iolanthe I think. You've probably told me you kenw him before *fails*

If you remember to ask that would be lovely but don't worry if you forget *G*

I am jealous of your tea with Ruth. Not that I saw Pirates, but it all sounds wonderful, and I would definitely go and see Patience if it transfers, if only it wasn't in London and/or I had more money. :D

Speaking of me spending money on trips to London, are we going to do Soho Cinders? I have failed at Twitter today, although I know there was a conversation! I would like to see it *with* people if at all possible, for a change. :) (Four years I've been waiting for this! It is definitely one of my exceptions to not going to London! :))
