I hope everyone up in Scotland & the north of England (and anywhere else getting gales) is indoors and safe! It's pretty horrid weather here but nothing like what you guys are getting :-/

I think this is the most spectacular (amd terrifying) picture I've seen so far!

Wow, that's...apocalyptic. That could very easily be in the credit sequence of a BBC2 drama about a few survivors struggling to stay alive after Terrible Things happen...

wow. I was watching the news earlier and decided while the weather was bad here it's nothing compared to the north.

The scaffolding was blown off the house opposite my grandparent's/aunt's houses, taking the powerlines down with it. Thankfully it didn't cause anyone any harm, and amazingly they still have power. Staying in is a big part of their planning for the immediate future.
