I got my copy, I started reading it. I have no spoilers for you, obviously. But I am TERRIFIED that he's going to kill Alex at the end. And I don't think I can handle that.
It would be awful... he can't do it can he? Don't answer that! I've been worried since he said the books were ending :-/
(btw, do you think you're likely to post reactions on twitter as you read- I know you wouldn't post spoilers but just emotional ones? I ask because obviously it's totally reasonable to use twitter like that but I might unfollow you just until I've read if you think you will. Can't wait to get it in my hands so we can talk about it though <3)
The inside flap made me worry: "But this may be the one mission Alex won't be coming home from. You've been hoping this day would never come, but you won't be able to tear yourself away from the final chapter in this international #1 best-selling series."
Like, that's not a spoiler, but JFC! Though I have learned that what's written on the inside flap basically has nothing to do with the book itself.
I will not spoil you, in any way, I promise. Most likely whatever I post on twitter will just be a link to my review on LibraryThing.
I HAVE to see it! Whether in chichester or london is another question but I HAVE to see it.
Oh good! I've sort of given up on seeing it the other way around but reviews are being more mixed than they were which made me wonder if I'd imagined the bad bits.

I have just been reading your Frankenstein post after seeing the NT Live one (JLM as the Creature), and I think you are very right!
