Just been to see Daniel Boys at Wilton's Music Hall with seiyaharris and solittleshameIt was a lovely eveing, slighly marred at the start by the discovery that the nice lady on the phone had lied when she said they were doing food at Wiltons... mind you we only decamped as far as St Katherine's Docks and had a yummy supper at Zizzis during which a proper sailing ship ( Read more... )

I LOVE HIS FAAAAAAAAAAACE!

And it is, it IS actually obligatory to drink Pimms when it's warm *nod* Or June. Or a day ending in Y *G*

I have "So Close" and "Taylor the Latte Boy" stuck in my head. It's an odd mix lolol

We need to go back to the Wiltons *nod* EVERYBODY should go!

As predicted I am singing They Don't Make Glass Slippers except occasionally it segues into Annie's Song which is slightly weird...

Daniel sings beautifully, which kind of goes without saying for me anyway, and I do love the tracks he's doing from his album LOTS but the evening was somewhat enhanced by the fact that he was either VERY nervous or on some kind of high (sugar or otherwise) because he just kept rambling in such an endearing way <3 he'd come out with utterly inappropriate things, or bitchy things, or pointless things and then giggle and get slightly shy/awkward and then 10 seconds later he'd launch into these wonderful ballads and I really don't know how he does it!

He was exactly the same way at Pizza in the Park. I suspect "rambling" is just in his nature when he's on stage and he's not completely scripted. But it was such *lovely* rambling :)

And as you said, once he's finished his rambling -- hello Power Ballad!!

He was worse/better than the night I saw him at Pizza in the Park! We got onto whether he'd seen Gavin Creel naked or not... but I'd hate it if he stopped rambling it's true!

Still jealous! I &hearts Daniel Boys and Julie Atherton so very much. Why is all their stuff always in London? :(

And I would go to Wilton's, but see above point. And I'm being such a good girl lately :)

Because this is where they live? Sorry!

You have been being good, I'm impressed! I was doing quite well and then I sort of splurged on tickets in the last couple of weeks :-/

Why, is it your fault they live in London? *stares evilly* :D Oh well, at least I got to see Daniel on JB's tour last year. And he might eventually tour the rest of the country, whereas I doubt Julie has the fanbase at the moment.

I'm being so good that when I booked the coach tickets to get to yours I purposely booked times that would make it difficult to fit theatre in (not impossible, it must be said, but difficult. :D). *sighs* Maybe I'll win the lottery sometime soon and I can go and see everything at top price? Maybe? :) It's good that you've splurged though - I can live vicariously through you. :D

And part of the point of that comment was to point you in the direction of the news about Ben Barnes which you've probably already seen anyway, but I totally forgot. Oops. :)

Totally my fault, they can't bear to be away from me :P

That was very sensible of you! Impressively restrained too *g*

I had just seen the news about Ben before your comment came through. Here's hoping he doesn't run out on this play...

I'd love to see Danny some time, but I suspect the chances of him doing a proper tour here in the US are limited, therefore adding him to list of people I'll need to get off my continent to see: Barrowman, Robbie Williams, Sir Cliff etc.

He's so freakin' adorable during his bits in Barrowman's video, so that giddy, nervous persona might be his normal self, cause he's pretty much like that on DVD as well.

He really does seem to be genuinely like that, it's kind of adorable, he's also endearingly giddy about having to post his CDs all over the world <3 but I suspect you're right he's unlikely to tour outside the UK (or, for that matter, outside London it seems at the moment!)

I think that's in the bar underneath the Prince of Wales so presumeably it has to wait till after the evening's performance of Mamma Mia is over...

(absolutely not at all *g*)
