I'd go if I could. Check in with hezikiah, because I bet she'll be there promoting her play. And there are going to be a lot of cool people there: Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings, Goonies, Rudy), Christopher Judge (Stargate SG1), and Karen, just to name a few. I'm actually a little annoyed that I'm in Phoenix now because of it. A little. :) Also, it seems that the Barrowman had a blast at Phoenix Comic Con, which I just missed. Can't wait for next year's Con, or for Gallifrey One this February.
I actually got to be in one of hezikiah's promo vids for the play, and they're hoping to get a table if Wizard Con peeps aren't being jerks. oooooh, SG-1! I've been meaning to rewatch that show- it was in my prefandom, 10 yr old ish years so I've got the words like Goauld, Sam, Tealk, Stargate ::duh::, and the whole reusing Egyptian gods as the Goauld or whatever, but none of the actual plot in my head. Hmmm... something to do till October perhaps? :) Oh if you go to Gallifrey One I'ma be so jealous!
*squees* You're lucky! If I hadn't moved I would've been pleading with her to let me have some role in helping out, maybe even be an extra in one of the promo vids. I cannot wait to see them. :D
SG1 was a great show. I missed a chance to see Richard Dean Anderson last year, but it'd be cool to meet Teal'c. So let me know if you get to go. He seems interesting to talk with,
I have a ticket to Gallifrey One. Just need to secure enough time off to go. I hear it lasts from Thursday to Sunday, so I'll have to see whether I can manage to swing one or two days off from my job. And I'll be looking for things for my friends who can't go. Just because. :)
Looks great!! You are going to make a delightful River! :) I have that poster, too, but no space to put it up. Well, I have some space, but too many posters and I can't pick which ones to put up! Decisions, decisions.
I'm jealous of your lack of poster space. I have TDotD, The Pandorica Opens (like the one that looks like the painting that people like to just call "Exploding Tardis" but the painting has a title IN THE EP I mean come ON.... sorry, rant over), one that's a list of Things I Learned From DW, and a Despicable Me Minion. Other than those and the few (read: 4) random doodles I've hung up, my walls are completely bare. Oh well, suppose I'll be moving out in less than a year anyways... yikes! ::thinks about other things::
Well, if I took over the house, I could put them up, but I try to share the wall space with my husband. I just put DW stuff up in my own room. I have a 10 silhouette poster and a 5 silhouette poster (both from the same artist) above my bed, and another 10 on another wall, and my favorite, a fan art poster of John Smith (Human Nature), at the head of my bed. And then there's a 9/10/11 silhouette poster, the DotD poster, a set of small posters of 4, 5, 9, and 10, and one more 10 sitting around waiting for some love. The pile of other stuff (mostly ancient anime wall scrolls) is in the closet.
You know, I'm surprised that the BBC hasn't released a poster of "Gallifrey Falls No More." I'd buy that.
