I'd like to shill this on G+, but linking directly to your journal just displays the adult content warning, and I don't want to take your image without permission granted.
Do you object to this image and boycott call making its way onto G+?
not my image (this may have come from Anonymous although I cannot be certain - it popped up on reddit). So borrow, post to Google+ and credit reddit? I'll see if I can find the original link.
Why don't we boycott the companies pushing for.SOPA/PIPA and instead spend our money at places that don't. Not buying for one month will not only not be a huge blip on a mega corporation's radar, but they will then think they're doing right when things bounce back even better in April. Small businesses, however, along with independent presses/studios and actors/authors/musicians/directors who are just getting started will feel this hard.
I'd hate to close down those people while trying to hurt the big guys supporting SOPA/PIPA. That would make us no better than the people who went after Mega Upload and got thousands of legitimate files taken down while trying to stop pirates that have multiple sites.
Yes, thank you. I find this whole thing very upsetting because I am one if the people who would be hurt by it. I have a book published by a small press and neither I nor they (at least last I checked) support SOPA/PIPA yet this calls for people not to buy my stuff too.I understand wanting to do somethingI want to do somethingbut to me it's not just a theoretical small business that will be hurt. It's me.
Anyway, thank you for the edit. I am personally planning on boycotting all the companies that support it until they withdraw their support or this is no longer an issue.
