February Festival ~ Day 18 ~ Breaks Your Heart:
A ha! I’m being creative and non-linear, and going backwards! I just thought of a story that fits this topic - Betty Plotnick’s Fire and Rain. I read this once, several years ago, and was so upset by it that I never went back to read it again. In this story (yes, I had to skim it (quickly) to gather details for you) JC, Lance, and Justin are all involved in long-term relationships (not with one another) and are genuinely in love and happy. Jive isn’t happy. They are determined to make sure that no rumors about the guys being gay will ever reach the press. And they set out, coldly, cruelly, to destroy their relationships. It’s very painful.
