As promised, I have returned to LiveJournal to describe in more detail the major life decisions I have recently made. Given that I am still feeling pretty fuzzy about a lot of this, I have decided to list my new plans in (roughly) decreasing order of the likelihood that they will happen or be carried out successfully.

1. Learn how to sew, and make ( Read more... )

Gathering Pins! I'm excited to read your blog. Also, I agree that an elementary school teacher seems a natural choice for you, and I hope you get the classroom aide job! You'd be so good at it and I'm sure you'd enjoy it. (Also, even if it doesn't work out, you can always register with a local school board and substitute teach, as I'm sure you're aware. My mom and I did that for a while and she enjoyed it a lot.)

I also want to let you know that I, too, aspire to fame and wealth, and I eagerly await the day we have neighboring summer homes in all the far corners of the globe where we can hang out together and drink fine wine and listen to records.

P.S. I was just watching an interview Stephen Colbert did with Maurice Sendak that I think you'd enjoy. It's not on the site yet but it probably will be in the morning.

I can't wait for that to happen! When you are making movies I want to help you design costumes for them, OK?

You are amazing for all the work you've done and the way you're aligning your life to meet your true self. That's so cool and I admire you so much.

Also I want to sew with you sometime.

YES. Let's make it happen in a concrete way. Will you have a free-ish time soon? I know you are very busy with school and acting.

GOODGOOD. I really like your art and general aesthetic and approach to life. And I am certainly not one to criticize for 'ridiculous goals'. Though I've never technically 'studied' art, I am also trying to get serious about producing more creations, in multiple media (I have these stories that I want to tell, but I'm pretty sure that I don't want to write novels. So I have to figure out some other way to tell them).

BEST WISHES IN ALL OF THIS.

Oh boy! Figuring out how to tell my stories was basically my entire career as an art major/grad student at Brandeis. It is a really thrilling journey. I would love to hear more about your stories!

I like this! I like this so hard, especially the part where you do things and they make you happy. I am totally stoked to see what stuff you come up with.
