Refusing to let go

Oct 13, 2012 23:51

Damon wallowed in alcohol and blood for a few days after Dana left. He refused to see Elena, barely talked to Rick. Though his brother in such a state seemed to snap Stefan back faster, brought to care because something was clearly wrong. There wasn't much of a talk though when Stefan was finally let out. Just a shouting match that had Stefan ( Read more... )

Life for Dana returned to how it once was before Damon. Hunting, drinking, fucking. But none of it seemed as satisfying anymore, especially the latter one. Dana damn well kept on trying though, she refused to let herself sink because of him. Because of what they had had-- They hadn't had anything though and so it shouldn't matter. Dana could do as she damn well pleased ( ... )

And while Dana had fucked her way through the states she visited, Damon had actually and for once been alone. He already knew the women wouldn't do it for him so he hadn't wanted to bother even trying. There had been meals, of course, but they'd been taken behind the bars before he sent them home to sleep off the blood loss. And honestly, the lack of sex was starting to make his skin crawl. But he wanted one person ( ... )

It's only been...five guys. In a two month time span, but still. As long as it's been, she hardly thought Damon would have actually come looking for her now.

When he looked up at her, it wasn't his face, but the face of that monster he was and Dana tightened her jaw, slipping out of the car despite her current state of undress.

"Because if you kill him, I'm going to have to kill you. Let him go Damon." Her voice was stern, eyes flashing to the man (honest to God she couldn't remember his name), and back to Damon. He was bleeding profusely and Damon was now choking the life out of the poor man. All because Dana had picked him to sleep with this night.

And she could have. But she hadn't. Secretly didn't want to.

Too many if you asked Damon, really. She's lucky he was too busy hunting her to deal with them in a jealous fashion. But she moves fast after a job and he'd had trouble finding her a couple times. It had kept him occupied. And her lack of communication had left him unable to kindly tell her to slow down.

There's a low, dangerous growl. For a moment, it almost looks like he's snapped, like maybe he won't stop as his head turns back to the man, bloody fangs bared. Though he slowly lets his eyes bleed back to blue before he catches the man's eyes. "You aren't going to remember tonight. You're going to walk home, don't stop for anything, and forget tonight ever happened." His hand released the man, who collapsed coughing for a moment before doing exactly as told, starting to walk home stark naked.

Turning back to Dana, his eyes are dark but still that azure blue. And still holding jealousy and pain under that. His steps are slow, predator hunting prey slow, as he moves towards her.

It's a tell.
