A sort of follow-up to an idea I dropped into the comments section here: moredamnlies.livejournal.com/48320.html#cutid1  as a reponse to Chiisana00's question. I started writing this months ago but lost the notepad I'd been writing it in. Fortunately I found it this weekend and found the time to finish it off.

Awww, that's really cute :) It's nice to see the things that Arthur's willing to do to keep little Alfred happy, and that epilogue was a sweet addition!

I feel that the bear-fighting scene adds a lot to the story artistically, I'm glad someone else agrees. ;)

Oh god, I loved Arthur punching that bear over Alfred's rabbit. Really, the things he does for Alfred, it's amazing.

The fact that Alfred kept that stuffed toy for all that time was absolutely adorable, too.

You know when you're writing something utterly ridiculous and you read it over and go 'sod it, if I want to write a man engaged in fisticuffs with a bear then I shall!' - yeah, that segment was pure me pandering to my own love of ridiculous stuff.

Yes, I think under that clueless exterior beats the heart of an utter softie. Glad you liked it.
