there are too many jokes out there regarding the sexuality and relationship of the boy wonder and the dark night ;)

Actually the reason Robin will never appear in the new Batman movies is because they're to "dark" apparently. (They've apparently forgotten that the writers of the comics have killed on of the Robins before (I'd say that's pretty dark))
