I just played Banagrams with my aunt and other-one aunt (one's a generation older than the other) for an hour and a half. They're both HUGE Scrabble players. Oh, my brain is so dead, and my words are kinda a lot lulzy right now

I enjoy board/card/tile games quite a lot. Competitive word games, however, usually piss me off. I was delightfully surprised by bananagrams. :) Take Two sounds like a headache waiting to happen. XD;;
It's pretty crazy. It's really easy to get frustrated with, but once I accepted that I would be slow to start with and stopped worrying about it so much, I started getting better. I like it more the sillier it is, and it's really fun to see what words people think of. We had one game where someone had almost all sex words, I think because she got "sex" and then her mind got stuck on that word category. And, of course, it's -great- fun to just be an onlooker during the made-up word version. We started doing made-up words because we had a couple people who liked the idea of Take Two but aren't native English speakers.
Scrabble usually pisses me off, because I always get invited to play by people who are really good at it. I think I would like the game, but not when everyone outpaces me so much at it.
:) Yeah, I fail horribly at Scrabble. Like, I usually don't even top 100 points. I just get really frustrated; I can't usually find words to make out of /anything/. *shrug* I think I like these games where you kind of /have/ to change the words you've used. Nothing's static. It's better that way. :)
