Improvement

Work is a million times better now. Trust me, I actually calculated it, I'm a Time Lord.
Yesterday, in a heist I had to take part in, I succesfully managed to dispose of a good deal of the people at work who have it in for me. Being as I was the getaway driver, all I had to do was tip off the police, orchestrate a shootout so that there wouldn't be ( Read more... )

Oh, I'm so glad to hear things are looking up for you at work. And congratulations on the promotion. It's very nice that you made such a good impression on your boss. Hopefully the more highly he thinks of your abilities, the more likely he'll be to trust you with important tasks and responsibilities.

Not to rain on your good mood, but I feel that I, as a loyal reader/lurker of yours, should warn you: We humans have a saying, "never say never." Also known as "don't jinx yourself." I'd hate to see you suffer a depressing setback.

I don't believe in silly human superstition but I have begun to acknowledge the existence of Murphy's Law.
I DID say "seem". I realise I'm not going to be happy forever. That would be ridiculous.
Already, one of the more "important tasks" seems to be going to dull board meetings where no actual planning or anything happens and they don't even provide coffee. When I'm in charge of this company I think I'll kill whoever wasted the most time. That might speed things up a bit.
