On a day with hardly anything to do, when Min Yeop is stalking Eun Sae and Ha Rim is somewhere and Sun Ki is somewhere else and Manager Hong is napping, Eun Chan and Han Kyul are left alone. Han Kyul can see Eun Chan mopping from where he's supposed to be filling out paperwork, but he can't concentrate.
"Hey," he says, grumpy, "can you do that somewhere else? It's distracting."
"This needs to be done for tomorrow. Manager Hong said." He bends over to pick something off the ground and Han Kyul finds himself staring.
"Hey," he says again, once he realises what he's doing, "go home."
"I need the money."
"I need you to go."
Eun Chan stands, simultaneously blowing his hair out of his face. Han Kyul gulps.
"Why?" Eun Chan asks.
Han Kyul flounders for an excuse. "Because! You're not doing that right and I'm not paying you for half a job."
It has the desired effect - Eun Chan gets angry, throws down both the mop and the thing he picked up off the ground, and flounces out. Han Kyul sighs in relief and moves to take over the mopping, picking up the thing again.
It's a button, from one of the princes’ vests. Han Gyul, unable to stop himself from smiling, puts the button safely in his pocket and pats it before getting back to work.
