Then I got an e-mail from tumblrbot saying that Neil-Gaiman had asked me a question.

I was having a crap day yesterday, but then I just had to remind myself "There are 27 things that Neil Gaiman likes on tumblr and I am two of them," and it ... makes everything in my life better.

Niiice. Also, I just reread your post and noted your criticism of the Bechdel test in its reliance on dialogue. I recalled the video by Feminist Frequency over at Youtube that applies the Bechdel test to the 2012 Oscars, and she had a small segment on The Artist, which is a silent film. Here's a link, handily tagged so you can jump straight to that section. It still sort of counts as dialogue in that there's "mouthing words" and title cards, but towards the end there's an admission for "interaction", which doesn't necessarily imply dialogue.

But yes, lmao, the number of footnotes on your post... I've been meaning to read Sandman for a while. I hope the 'verse makes more sense when you read all the backstory, because otherwise, my head will be spinning. XP
