How anyone could contrive to have so little chemistry with the divine RA baffles me! Perhaps the actress really is a triffid? Actually, that would have made a better end to my story - Sarah is finally revealed as a carnivorous plant!

Thanks, AJ! I can't believe that poor Lucas got stuck with that creature on top of being tortured in Russia for eight years. Surely he'd suffered enough?!

The girl's gone public! Huzzah - so glad you're back in business.

Were it not for needing information from her, I would like to think Ros would have contentedly stood and watched as Sarah decapitated herself. I love her and her violent tendencies. *stamps feet that we could have been given the wonders of Ros/Lucas instead of this unfathomable catastrophe.*

I'd like to have seen Ros be the one to do the decapitating! I know a lot of people don't like her character but she's what I'd love to be, except that I'm too nice, too polite and too wimpy!!

My favourite bits:

*That pale, expressionless face reminded Mrs Caulfield of something embalmed* - best description of Sarah, ever

*all the tenacity of a fevered ferret, though none of the animation*

*a heroic effort by a brave man without fear of frozen wastes* - yep, just the job for Lucas!

*He convinced himself that she had made him feel again even though what he usually felt was cold, unsettled and inadequate. *

*He began to weary of the bruising caused by sleeping next to a rigid assortment of sharp, bony outcrops.* - priceless!

*‘I love you so much,’ she whispered with all the enthusiasm of a week-dead haddock - though Lucas had to admit, she smelled slightly better. *

*the fact that lesser mortals thought less about her stance and more about who’d shoved the ramrod up her fundament didn’t impact upon her at all*

I'm glad you liked it - I found it really hard to write anything about Sarah and Lucas, possibly because they had so little going in the show. Total chemistry bypass! However, in a series of little pieces about my least loved characters, I couldn't leave her out, could I?

Oh, the relief when I saw that teensy, tiny hole in her forehead and realised that she wouldn't be *cough* gracing series 9 ...
