Holy crap on a stick!

The guy who plays Sherlock in Sherlock Holmes at my school (which btw, I did get cast as Billy. A boy. But I digress) is Todd Dezago. He was a comic book writer about ten years ago and he wrote for Spiderman, Batman etc. I was talking geek with the guy who plays Watson, we were discussing the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, and then branched into ( Read more... )

comics, omg

I didn't know about Harry Potter until after I'd updated and it was really late. I've been living at my school lately.

For the love of everything in the world, do not name your child Toby. Every single person (aka character) with that name has had something terrible happen to them. Tobias from Animorphs: trapped in the body of a hawk, Toby from the play The Medium: a mute boy who was beaten and acted more like a puppy than anything else, Toby from Sweeny Todd: abused boy who helped a woman kill people and cook them in pies and wound up in a mental institution, Toby from Transamerica: sexually abused by his stepfather, found his mother after she committed suicide, drug addict and prostitute.

Tobey Maguire, however, seems to be okay. But that's the only one I know.

Ooh, what kind of tattoo?

(/random butting in - apologies)

My bother wants to name his son Toby - they should hook up (totally kidding). But seriously, you forgot Toby from Labyrinth! He was stolen by goblins but his sister saved him (and really, would being the next Goblin King be so bad? I look at David Bowie and I think not).

:D

I bet that's what gave thalia_my_muse the idea in the first place. And I can't believe I forgot him.

Seriously, if you want a tragic character, Tobias/Toby is the name to give.

Kitty is dating Spider-man in Ultimate Angst so it works. I don't have a Spidey-con either.

But that is too cool - you have to let us know what he wrote!!

But I bet you were trashing my movie! Just kidding again. I think I'm in a mood. :P

I was not trashing your movie thankyouverymuch! I was taling about how my mother is going bonkers over the fact that Silver Surfer is a bad guy, because in Marvel Ultimate Alliance he's a good guy (and super powerful which is why she always plays with him)

Although I do admit I said I thought Jessica Alba was horribly miscast. She is just not Sue Storm to me. But I thought Human Torch and The Thing were fantastic (omg pun so not intended, but there you go)

My icon can't happen in Ultimate Angst because Petey's too busy with his boy toy. At least he's left Wolverine alone. Yuck. I thought that was quite possibly the worst pairing ever invented. I mean, props to Pete for kicking Magneto's tushie and all, but no. Too many things wrong.

Moods are good.

Oh and btw: he wrote everything here: http://marvel.com/catalog/?writer=Todd%20Dezago

LOL, that'll teach her to get her info from a game ;) I wouldn't be surprised if he were less bad guy by the end of the movie. I also wouldn't be surprised if said movie set up a third featuring Galactus.

I was very against Jessica Alba but I'm not anymore. I think it was the scenes with Johnny in the corridor (Cut it out/What?/God!/God! - too funny). My least favorite performance was Ioun but I think he has the hardest job. Reed is a difficult part to make likeable. Chris (Johnny)'s my favorite (/predictable).

"SPIDER-MAN and the FANTASTIC FOUR
versus MOLE MAN!" - Poor man had to write Mole Man!! :)

Peter/Logan? Ew. I think that is actually worse than Storm/Logan.

You sersiously did go all dork. It was amusing. And you don't have to be afraid of talking to Todd about it, he seems like a cool guy and not the kind to really get upset if you say you didn't like something he wrote. But then again, it's comics, so what wouldn't you like? XP

Toby Stephens, by the way. Good actor. Not bad looking. (This is my butting into another thread.)

Did I ever tell you that your (extremely late) Christmas present is still coming? Cuz it IS. It just keeps getting more complicated to send it. :P
