Labor day is the main reason I chose the schedule I did - I'm always off on Mondays.

I love it when I have legitimate excuses to get out of things I don't want to do. The boys are too old for me to use my stand-by "The kids need a nap, gotta go!"

I was in the middle of icing my cake when the pager went off. Chris assumed I wasn't going to respond since I had the shower. I tossed the frosting in the fridge, but the cake in a carrier so Buddy wouldn't destroy it, and grabbed my gear. No way was I passing up a legit chance to skip the shower. :)

Don't hate me! I've been on pins and needles all day wondering if they're going to give me my cat. I bought all the preliminary cat necessities 'cause I'm getting a cat, whether or not it's Magz.

Ooooh, working at 7am on a holiday kinda sucks? But on the other hand, I can only imagine it's quiet at that hour.

Yay for having a legit out from the shower, but getting to share the cake at work!
