This is the playlist that I have on my ipod for when I run or bike. It keeps me moving and the song order is to kind of get me pumped again when I sometimes want to stop. Some of these are about the energy of the song, some about the lyrics, some just because I like them. I decided it was better not to comment about individual tracks and why they' ( Read more... )

The nice thing about my list is that even the less "pumped" songs, still have a good driving beat to them. The first two tracks don't seem exercisy (I know, that's not a word, whatever), but they make a good warm up because they make me want to move. And then the beats just drive it from there.

Pleasant dreams, babe.

Two albums (as opposed to single tracks) that I found work good for me are Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet and Bloodhound Gang - One Fierce Beer Coaster.

You know, I sometimes do albums, but I like to mix it up when I'm running or biking. Thanks for the suggestions though. Slippery When Wet is definitely a great album (although too much of Bon Jovi "whoah-ing" makes me start to giggle and stop taking them seriously).

I love the range of music here. Can't Stand Me Now never fails me make me bounce around. Also, Cracker! I haven't listened to them in probably years. *nostalgic*

I've had Cracker's Kerosene Hat for years, but don't listen to it much anymore. When I was making my playlist and going through my music collection it popped out at me.

And yes to bouncing to "Can't Stand Me Now". When I have that on in the car, it always gets me bouncing in my seat.

I've got Kerosene Hat around here somewhere. On tape no less. I should find it and convert it to mp3.

Libertines! When my brother got his first ipod, it came with Libertines on it, cuz the guy that set it up knew he liked The Clash. I liked them.

They're a great band. My list is a little heavy on punk, but it's what works for me. :)
