Plan-related stuff

Today I took a new route for my walk and got to see "Mini Asses" as in jackasses or donkeys. Miniature ones. They were kind of cute, which says a lot because miniature horses creep me the fuck out. It was 25 degrees and lightly snowing so I bundled up before hitting the road. By the time I got back to my neighborhood 45 minutes later, I had ditched ( Read more... )

I am not a runner by any means but all your talking about western places makes me realize how freaking long it's been since I've been out west. I think maybe I need to plan another cross-country trip...

Also, wow is our weather different. It's been near 70 here the last two days (though that is very weird for Nov).

We had some unusually warm days (high 40s and low 50s) the last few weeks, but we've got a cold front coming in and bringing snow again.

According to my onscreen Accuweather report, it's currently 20 here, but the high today is supposed to be 45. Our overnight versus daytime high swings drastically.

You should definitely come out west. You're welcome to crash here anytime. We're 30 minutes from the west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Lots of skiing/boarding from 5 minutes to 1.5 hours away depending on what you want. And just beautiful open road. :)

I know this is going to sound silly, but you mentioned going skiing. So early in the year. And it just made me all happy and gooey inside, because this is why you moved to CO -- so you could go skiing. You're living your dream, doing what you really want to do. Brought a huge lump to my throat as well. Go you!

::hugs::

:) We just got home. Had a good day. Limited terrain but for the first day it was more than enough for me. 9 trails at Keystone is a lot of terrain since the trails are so long.
