Title: Give Me Strength Author: Moosesal Fandom: Friday Night Lights Characters: Lyla/Street Word count: 100 Rating: G Spoilers: last week's episode (#2). Street's thoughts during Lyla's prayer.
I worked more on my "Shame" prequel on the plane yesterday. I'm feeling really good about it. I did major revisions on all the drabbles I'd already done and added another. Just a few more to go and it'll be ready. Damn work for getting in the way of writing when I'm in the zone.
Thanks, sweetie. I wish every day was Tuesday. Except for Thursday, of course. But I'd happily take an extra ep on Thursdays after the Hot Ass (TM brandi). *g*
I'm really looking forward to where things go between Street and Lyla this week. The previews just about killed me.
I can so picture Jason thinking that. Lyla is totally in denial, but not sure if it's because she's sad about Jason so much as because she has lost her "star quarterback" which has probably been her goal for as long as she can remember.
Thanks. I'm looking forward to this week's ep to see where the Lyla/Jason thing goes. She's definitely in denial, but she's also got faith. Her future has been changed, I just hope that she can see that the changes Jason faces are far more radical and that she can better support him by being realistic. We shall see.
Aw, thanks. That means a lot. I totally knew I'd drabble that scene as I was watching it. It was so clear his thoughts didn't match Lyla's words. More tomorrow!!
Loved it. I understand Lyla's grieving in her own way (deny! deny! deny!) but Jason seems incredibly grounded and rational, and I can see him thinking this way. Thanks for posting!

I like how that can go either way for Jason. Good one, Sal. *wants it to be Tuesday night NOW, please*
