I can't get the image of him throwing the ball (and Landry playing fetch for him) out of my head. That uncertainty that's there. The why bother? And then the way things change. I have to say that the events of the Pilot remind me of Varsity Blues but without the hotness of Paul Walker. *sigh* I think I need to go watch some football movies.

That was a lovely little snippet of what Matt's life had to be before the accident. It's got to be disheartening, knowing that the only way to shine is once the hero has passed on to bigger things. Or so he thinks, anyway.

No lie. It's going to be interesting to see the team dynamic too. He's only a sophomore and he's stepping in because Street's injured, it's not like he earned his spot the hard way.
