I had so much fun letting Xander mostly just type 'yeah' and 'fuck you'. I can totally imagine Spike being as chatty online as he can be in person. But I don't see Xander being so babbly when he has to type everything.

Bwaaaahaahaha! The first line made me smile, then the idea of Spike typing "lol" to it made me, well, laugh out loud. Very nice, and while lighter it Does totally work as a companion piece!
