Getting away from the sex today. My apologies to those who stop by here just for the smut. Today we get a bit of Sharon Olds, perhaps my favorite poet writing today.

Oh yeah, it was effective, all right. I felt sadness and resentment and frustration and the wryness of self-recognition, and I just want to hug the person in the poem.

That poem was quite different for you. It brought all the emotion of a glass of cold water in the face, the shock and hurt. I really, extra enjoyed that one. Keep them coming! :0)

Thank you for such a wonderful description of your reaction to the poem. That means a lot to me.

This isn't necessarily unusual for me, just not the type of poem I've been comfy posting openly in the past. I'll probably end up going back and f-locking some of these posts by the end of the month so they're aren't left open to just anyone. We'll see.

Anyway, definite thanks for the feedback.
