Deer alert Whistles don't always work.

I hit a deer on the way home tonight/this morning, my airbag deployed and hit me in the chest and stomach. I'm fine, but the front of my car is all fucked up, radiator was steaming and leaking, hoods' all bent up. Had to have it towed. I haven't had any kinda accident before so I'm not sure exactly all the steps to do, I'll be calling the insurance ( Read more... )

Holy moley! Are you sure you're ok? Most insurance cos have an 800 # you can call at any hour to report the accident.

Yeah, I'm fine, I called the insurance earlier and only thing I should have to cover is $500

Sorry to hear about the accident; At least you're OK, and I'm guessing with an impact like that the deer didn't really have a chance to suffer.

Deer are a constant highway threat around here too, and you'd think that over the decades of motor-traffic they'd learn to stay away from the highways. :/

Oh I called 911 right after parking and the deputy that came out gave me a card with a report number on it.
