[Ariadne is sitting crosslegged on the floor, pulling up a maze that she'd drawn. Hearing the door open her head shoots up. No one had a way into her home. She didn't give the key to... or maybe she did. Just didn't remember doing so.]
She had, as a point of fact, but it had been some time ago, and one of those 'in case of emergency' kinds of things.
This wasn't, strictly speaking, an emergency, but it was something that could easily become one, and honestly Arthur hadn't been expecting her to be home.

[Charles is in his natural habitat. Loving the feel of the water around him. It's late night so no one should be out there. Rather no human should be. So being in natural form should be fine. Should be being the key words.]
Erik wasn't like most people, however, for one, he was largely nocturnal, and for another, he was actually going swimming at nearly midnight, regardless of the fact that the water was almost freezing.
It's on nights like this that Charles doesn't notice the humans. Nights like this where they shouldn't be out. So we're sure that Erik might feel something swim past him under the water. Then it's off again causing a splash down the way.
