Fuuuun, haha.iwannabedirtyJune 25 2011, 10:39:23 UTC
[Santana's just staring at their daughter's bedroom door in disbelief. She has never given them such attitude. She's like high school Santana all over again. Except Santana never pulled that shit at home.] Kill her? [Hey, it's an idea. Not a good one (or something she'd really do), but still.]
I'd... really rather not. For one, blood is a killer to get out of the carpet and you know how I totally suck at trying to clean them up. *He may, or may not, have managed to dye a patch of one once when trying to clean it. He'd not meant to, at least!*
We've got to do something. I know she can be a little mouthy sometimes but that was to the extreme.
:D Name suggestions for the kid?iwannabedirtyJune 25 2011, 10:49:30 UTC
[Santana laughs.] Oh, I know. [She remembers the dye incident all too well and has refused to let Sam touch the carpets again - except in the dirty way. That's still allowed.]
Take away the cell phone? It's like her lifeline, might teach her something.
Hmm... Maria, Isobel, Emilia... I see him being very easy going on letting her pick the nameimthenewguyJune 25 2011, 10:53:56 UTC
*He was very, very thankful that he was still allowed on them in the dirty way. Even if he'd not been allowed even that for a few days after the carpet incident.
Her suggestion had a small chuckle escaping his lips and he slowly nodded his head in agreement. Their daughter was going to think the world had ended if they took her phone away.*
You do realize that however long we take it away for, she's going to hate us, don't you?
Ooooh, Emilia. I like Emilia! :DiwannabedirtyJune 25 2011, 16:56:35 UTC
Babe, she already hates us, if the bitchfit she just threw is any indication. Take away that, ground her for a few weeks... We'll see if that shapes her up. [She sighs. Having kids is frustrating. Why did they have one again?]
Emilia it is! :DimthenewguyJune 25 2011, 17:02:29 UTC
San... Okay, okay, we can ground her. Two weeks? And take her phone for those two weeks too. *Perhaps Sam used his puppy dog eyes on her to talk her into it? But kids really were frustrating. Not that he'd change the fact they had her. Not for a single thing.* We go in together so she can't hate one of us more than the other? We need to spread the wealth, share that joy.
[San wouldn't either. Frustrating or not, she does love Emilia and wouldn't trade her for anything. And Sam's suggestion gets a laugh out of her. She stands on her toes and kisses him, speaking teasingly.] Okay, wimp. Let's go.
Hey, less of the wimp. I prefer... Nervous father. *A low chuckle and Sam was gesturing for her to move with him. He was wrapped around Emilia's finger usually. He was a softie with her but he had his rare moments where he could do the discipline thing. Usually with Santana by his side.*
Shall we put Emilia in quotes to differentiate? We can both kinda play her if you want. :)iwannabedirtyJune 25 2011, 17:25:51 UTC
[Santana didn't mind being the bad guy. She adored her daughter, but Sam wasn't much of a disciplinarian, so it was left to her. But sometimes, it was so much that double-teaming was necessary. 16 year olds. Sigh.
Santana started in without preamble, walking up to the pouting teenager and holding out a hand.] Cell phone. [Not a request, a demand. And to say Emilia was displeased was an understatement.]
"What?!" Emilia stared at her mother, wide-eyed. "No."
Works for me :)imthenewguyJune 25 2011, 23:20:16 UTC
*Sam stood by Santana as she held out her hand for the phone, biting on the inside of his bottom lip as his eyes flicked between his daughter, and San. Her reaction was precisely as he expected, and he knew he had to speak up.*
It wasn't a request, Emilia. Give your phone to your mother. You get it back when you're not grounded any more.
"What? But Dad," her eyes turned to him, pleading and defiant all at once. "You're grounding me, too? That's just unfair!"
It's completely fair. Your dad and I told you that you couldn't be out past curfew - and 11 is pretty damn generous. You took advantage of that this entire week, Emilia. Once, we'd understand. Five times? [She shakes her head.] Hell no.
"But Nick wanted to--"
[Santana cut her off.] Nick? Who the hell is Nick?
[Santana narrowed her eyes at her daughter.] Explain. [Once again, she's demanding. Boys are bad news, especially at 16. She would know.]
"He's just...this guy, okay? I met him when I went out with Angela one night. He's cool, Mama." She wanted to look to her dad for help, but at this point, she knew it wouldn't help. She actually felt bad. It wasn't often that Sam wasn't on her side. She should've known better than to mention Nick. God, parents always freaked out about the dumbest things. It wasn't like they were doing anything wrong.
Cool how? If he plans on keeping his limbs intact he best be the type of boy that keeps his hands to himself. *So, Sam was hoping he was gay. Or limbless. Or blind. Or terrified of Santana enough to not touch their daughter. He knew the kinds of things sixteen year olds got up to. He'd been doing it himself with Santana. He knew more than enough.*

That better be the name of some sort of secret pet you've got and not a boy.
"Oh God, will you two just stop freaking out over nothing."
