So, i have gmail now andy.davies@gmail.com. I have to say it's rather lacking style, but that's personal preference. I was having server trouble with it this morning too, and that pattern went on, i was having server trouble on my own server. Hmmm....bad luck day

Erm.

Have them log in to something, then store their article in a database with an approval flag of 0, or something. Then you go approve artilces, and then they show up, as your articles pager, or whatever, woudl be told to only pull approved articles.

Why would you need ftp? ftp slow.

ftp images because they are included with the articles and it's easier for them to do it.

ahh. you don't really need ftp for that either. You coudl code up a file upload box. Uhh, but you'd need to change the filename on the server, and ensure that the file is of a certain type (uploading a .htaccess woudl be rather disastrous).

I know a little bit aobut that, and nothing about ftp. I've never even set up an ftp server.
