Thanks! I never thought I'd get it done in time as Anime Expo approached, and I was actually still putting finishing touches on it the morning of the con, but it all seemed to come out OK in the end. We arrived so late to the convention that I almost didn't cosplay the first day. My BF convinced me that since I had worked so hard on it over the past year, it would be such a waste not to wear it even though it was already nighttime. At around 6pm I started getting ready, and by 8pm I was walking around the con as Shaka! I'm glad I did it because there were still tons of other cosplayers still out that night. I stopped at around 10:30pm, and then started all over the next morning. I cosplayed for about 5 hours that day. I was completely exhausted by 4pm, and it was time for us to leave AX06, so since we had already checked out of our room, I had to strip off the armor in the parking garage!
That costume is *awesome*. Seriously, that is the best cosplay Saint armor I've ever seen done in America. *Great* job, you deserved the attention you got!
Wow! Blush, blush, blush! Thanks for the huge compliment! You really think it's the best you've seen in the US? I'm truly flattered! I did work so very hard to make it as anime-realistic as possible (within my humble and inexperienced armor-crafting skills). I was definitely the only StS cosplayer at AX06!
