Hee... I love that movie! :o) I'm actually glad I saw the movie before I read the book; the differences didn't bother me as much that way.

Have you watched the uncut version on dvd? I heard the BBCA version was conspicuously dildo-free, but the one I watched had many a lingering shot of it, so I assume all the cut material is back in for the dvd version.

Rachael Stirling was *such* a disappointment though - I mean, she's quite lickable and all, but - wtf? Very much not a convincing boy. I was quite excited anyway, because my Diana Rigg love is considerable, but - yeah. Disappointing casting choice.

Still, Keeley Hawes. Gah.
