blech.

My attempt to avoid getting sick has failed. The sore throat turned into a pretty nasty cold, bad enough that I cut out on office hours today to come home and lie down. I walked to the grocery store and bought soup and Kleenex and more cold medicine and now I am going to lie down some more.

Oh, crap - I'm sorry that the cold has become a nasty thing. And you just had one over Christmas break. Nuts.

Drink lots of fruit juice and tea and chicken soup. Can T. make chicken soup? At least there is only one lecture for you tomorrow and I bet you could get the notes on that from T. So stay in bed and rest up. Hugs.

Yeah, I hadn't had one since spring, before December. I guess this is what grad school stress will do to the immune system.

T. is kind of sick too, poor boy. I am quite probably the vector of infection, so I feel bad. We will be sick people together this weekend, I think, but I should probably go to lecture tomorrow morning. Blech.

sounds icky. hope you feel better. i find trashy novels (fantasy being my particular guilty pleasure) highly restorative.

Thank you for the good-health wishes. Unfortunately, my current reading is a book called "The Cunning of Recognition: Indigenous Alterities and the Making of Australian Multiculturalism." This cold may actually be getting me into the right state of mind to push through all this theory. Woo?

aiyiyi. good luck. (on the other hand, maybe it'll put you to sleep and you'll get a good rest?)

Aww, honey, I'm sorry! Sick sucks. I'm glad you could and did get out of there to take care of yourself.
