I spoke to Dad yesterday and he seems fine. As expected the worst part for him was waiting to be picked up to go home and hanging around waiting for his prescription to be filled. Other than that and a slight twinge if he catches his shoulder the wrong way he's OK, which is good because Big Brother has been able to stick to his original schedule ( Read more... )

Just to let everyone know that my Dad's operation went OK yesterday, he's fine and is expected home sometime today. My brother is up there now to take care of him.

I've just had it confirmed that I passed the Astronomy and Planetary Science modules of my Certificate in Contemporary Science that I completed in January. Just the Archaeology to go. I'm a little behind with that one for the usual reasons, but I'm just about to start the section on excavating human remains - a bit morbid maybe, but it includes ( Read more... )

It's December, there's thick snow on the ground, and my favourite Christmas song, I Believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake was playing in the pub last night. It must be time for my Christmas Moonstarer userpic!
