I guess it was inevitable that Billy Petersen would leave CSI. It had been rumored for the last 3 or 4 years. All good things must come to an end, as the cliche goes. I am saddened also, but like you, wish him all the best. I'm glad, though, that they're not just going to kill off his character. I envision something like him making guest appearances 4 to 6 times a season as a consultant on a particularly hard case, etc. Which is better than no Grissom at all. Of course, we also have the DVDs that we can rewatch to get our Grissom fix. I, for one, will have a hard time watching CSI without Grissom. Head up, we will commiserate and get through this together!

At least, he will live on on LJ and fanficiton......

Couldn't that be 22 to 23 times a season? Plus appearing as a consultant on the other two CSI: series, and in fact on every US detective show currently being made - and every UK one too for that matter?

Just been undergoing eBay therapy, Two Grissom Pillowcases; Two T-shirts, one Grissom, one CSI:LV with whole cast; one CSI game.

I now feel much better.
