I don't comment nearly enough on your fic but I really do love to read it. This piece especially, man. I like the tone, sort of middle ground between emotional and removed in describing what is the everyday combat and death around them. It's short but very nicely done, doesn't need anymore.

What a killer last line. It's a great way of giving some background to Orochimaru's utter fear and dislike for death, resulting later in his later warped researches. Another short but effective writing. See, fanfics don't have to span generations for it to be good. *coughs thinking about other fandoms*
