Wrote a poem for a friend who requested for it to go with a photo he took of a pink rose, posted on his Flickr site. To maintain discretion, I will not feature his full name. He asked only to use his moniker, EKoan.
I've quitted my job, Ben. Decided it's enough. Too much to bear. Now I am waiting to start another job. Had it not for the red tape, I could have started at the beginning of this month and not worry about my finances.
I believe you have done a lot of things other than sitting, reading and dreaming. You have your gift in drawing, and I have always been a fan.

It reminds me of a poem I read by a Sung dynasty imperial consort, just a couple of days ago.

Oh pink rose I knew you well.
I watched on daily as each petal fell.
I still remember your syrupy smell.
What you soon will be, time will tell.
