I've tested using iTunes but I have difficulties configuring the part where
it keeps pre-loaded into my PC even though I didn't start it. Any ideas?

are u trying to stream something? cos usual web/browser streaming stuffs are handled by quicktime or windows media player.
i believe only apple's own trailers and stuffs can be accessed directly from iTunes.

I just uninstalled iTunes. Decided to stick with Winamp instead.
Each time Windows got started, it's preloaded with other tasks (as hidden task)
and sometimes overwhelmes my processor. I didn't even click on it
and it's already "hibernating" in the background.
