I read the first nine (I think) as they were coming out (and I could find them cheap hardcover in used bookstores). When 10 came out, I decided to start over from the beginning to catch up on what I might have missed before it showed up used.

When I got through the first book again and realized "if that all happened in the first book, what happened in the other 9?" I gave up. The only thing with pacing I can compare to this series (after the first book) is the newspaper strip The Amazing Spider Man (which is even slower than Mary Worth and Rex Morgan M.D. combined in a vat of molasses).

I was loaned the first book (as a tattered, ear marked old copy). After the first chapter I couldn't help but think: Drivel.

The enemy would've killed the boy when he was a boy. End of mega-story.

Couldn't get into it.

Sad to hear about someone dying. Even if you never had a connection.
