Nephrite stood in the shadows around Mugen Gakuen, waiting for his mark. He was out of place in his red uniform, but he could care less. He had a job to do, and unlike Zoicite, he would be able to take care of his mark right then and there

"Nephrite!" It's Mercury who finds the scene first. She looks... surprised to say the least. She shouldn't be; she knows Nephrite's abilities. But what on Earth gave him the strength...? Did he always have so much?

She'd like to say she's pulling herself together, but really she's staring a bit.

"Ahh, Mercury!" He's hardly out of breath, considering the amount of energy he expended beating the ever-loving crap out of Eudial. He just dusts himself off.

"You missed the fun."

Fun?

"Amazing," Mercury says, still staring at Nephrite somewhat. She doesn't seem to quite mean it as praise; she looks a bit nervous instead. "That kind of strength..."

"My stone is whole again. My strength is now at its peak." He's rather proud of himself, to say the least.

"Don't worry."

"Undignified," Kunzite pronounces the sight in front of him. Strength he may have, but Nephrite has always lacked... finesse. Elegance. Now is no exception.

He is, of course, leaning against a nearby building, where he hadn't cared to make his presence known until now. Nephrite had seemed to be having such fun, after all, in such high spirits and energy. Best to let him go, right?

"Kunzite." Nephrite says, looking to the elder and leader of the Shitennou.

So what if he was undignified. The girl hardly proved to be a challenge, and besides. This was his fight. He had fun. He steps over Eudial's body, walking away from it. "We can't all look as pretty as you do when you fight."

"Pretty? Hardly so," Kunzite says comfortably. "But your methods will always leave you vulnerable to an opponent of greater... intelligence," he predicts direly.

"Hmph." Nephrite mutters to himself. See if he ever listens to Kunzite again, the lazy bastard.

"At least the job is done."

Nephrite has just finished his training for that day, when an unmistakable sound drifts towards him. Turning towards the sound, he comes to a corner and halts -

- just in time to see something brutal.

What's more, it was him who did it.

Or not him, as he is standing here, gawking like an idiot, unlike the other him over there.

Or you know, whatever.

This Nephrite swallows hard. That power... that power is what he is looking for, the one thing that will make him be someone again.

As Nephrite turns, he stops short. He wasn't expecting to be graced with another version of him. The nexus had Kunzites and Zoisites abound, but there weren't too many of him around.

"Take a picture. It will last longer." Nephrite says casually.

Has this other Nephrite been always this powerful? He ponders this while also thinking if it was... well, safe to intrude. After all, while he still has some semblance of power in him, he is sure that it is nothing compared to what the other Nephrite holds.

And the UNIFORM! Ugh. How he misses the uniform. He has been in the place for a very short period of time, yet seeing another version of him wearing his Shitennou colors is enough to provoke another sense of yearning.

"You killed her," he says aloud. "What has she done?"

Perhaps this question alone will reveal just how little Nephrite knows of this universe.

"What the hell happened here?!" The girl, who looks remarkably like Nephrite, might mean the carnage in front of her or the very fact of that incredible similarity. Maybe both.

Nephrite turns, looking towards the girl.

And he gawks. Ok, this is... different. She looks so like him it's uncanny. "Who are you, girl?"

"I'm Sorano Mari!" the stranger-girl says, trying to ignore the fact that this boy's uniform looks an awful lot like the color and design of her sailor fuku. "Who are and what are you doing here?"

"Of the Dark Kingdom, one of the Shitennou, Nephrite." He introduces himself. The girl's attitude seems so much like his own. It's freaky.

"What I'm doing here is none of your concern. Get out of here."

"You still have no tact," comments a voice that should be very familiar to Nephrite. Only feminine.

It's a girl that approaches Nephrite, one that even looks like Jadeite. Except...she's wearing a senshi uniform. But it's the same colors as Jadeite's uniform. Looks like a Jadeite, sounds like a Jadeite, dresses like a Jadeite, snarks like a Jadeite...So it must be a Jadeite!

She looks at the mess that was Eudial rather distastefully. She looks back to the other. "Why are you dressed like the s--EH!?"

Jadeite-ette points. "Wh-what happened to you?!"

Not Jadeite. Bah. He's was going to have to smack that boy...

Wait. A Girl? EH? Nephrite steps forward, staring at the blond girl, in senshi uniform, no less.

"Jadeite? You've got to be kidding me."

[frozengemsenshi]

"Acting shrewdly, senshi of ice, Sailor Jadeite," she introduces with a little toss of her head. There's a sly smile that fades after a moment in favor of a more serious expression.

"You are Nephrite?"

"Sailor Jadeite?" What does Nephrite do?

He laughs. And laughs... Yep, this is Nephrite.
