[In the snow room, Princess Mercury is sitting in the middle of the snowy field, eyes closed. She's meditating. She may seem able to be bothered, but a closer inspection reveals that her form is covered in a thin layer of unbreakable ice. You can pound away all you want, but it's not going to break. When she doesn't answer at first, the voice becomes more insistent, "Mama??"

Then worried: "Mama?!!"

[boundtowater]

[The ice around her crackles,, then shatters into little more than diamond dust, the bits not wanting to leave resting in her hair and on her eyelashes. She rolls her neck, stiff from sitting, then opens her eyes, blinking at the child before her, head tilting in confusion.]

Yes?

[waterfell]

And poof, the ice is--

Still there. Mercury grins in spite of herself. She recognizes the girl encased in it (that altered fuku is still very pretty distinct) and settles for more mundane means to get her attention.

"Twin."

[boundtowater]

[Mundane or not, it works, the ice shattering. The princess stretched her limbs, smiling.]

Hello, twin. To what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?

[A tease of course; her twin was always welcome to disturb her.]

[waterfell]

"Who knows?" Mercury answers pertly. "But it's been awhile. Maybe it was just Fate deciding it's time for us to see each other again."

A glance around, taking in their surroundings. She approves.

"Where are we exactly?" she asks. It's a more valid question than it might seem at first. It could be anywhere and anywhen; whether somewhere connected to this space or her counterpart's own world or any other world.

[boundtowater]

[She gives a light shrug.]

I am unsure. I found this room a while ago and found it quite peaceful, so I use it as a sanctuary from time to time.
