Should Old Acquaintance Be Forgot....

Jan 01, 2011 00:28

Yuzuki had separated from the moon, and the Princess, a few days ago. And now, suddenly, a celebration was occurring. She had asked around, and had learned a lot. To celebrate the new year... it was a lot like the Cycle Festival she remembered from her childhood days. Maybe the two places, Earth and Moon, were more similar than she thought ( Read more... )

Beautiful. Just beautiful. Usagi's face lit up as bright as the night sky with its fireworks as she let out a contented sigh. Her smile only widened when she spotted Yuzuki.

"Yu-chan!" She waved cheerfully at the other girl and hurried over towards her, already chattering as she came. "Isn't it beautiful? It's such a nice night."

"P-Princess!" Caught off guard, she quickly stops her spinning, giving a curtsy.

Usagi waved off the curtsy with both hands. "You don't need to! It doesn't really seem right now, does it?" She may have been aware of herself as the princess, but it wasn't how she identified herself now. It was always a bit surprising when someone else did.

It's instinct; she can't help it. "I-I see..." She then brightened, smiling. "I remembered my name!"

He was easy to miss: quiet, unobtrusive, pale eyes restless. The white and silver of his uniform stood out against the dark night, but only once something made someone look his way.

Zoisite liked it like that. He enjoyed the slight ruffle of the wind through his hair and the way it played with the ends of his sheer, gauzy cloak. He watched the fireworks.

"Beautiful, aren't they?" It's clear who Yuzuki is addressing with her soft voice; after all, they are the only ones on the rooftop.

"Bright lights in the darkness." If he has a double meaning to the words, they are still spoken with that same blandness as commenting on the weather.

In her own world, finally, at last, Mercury was involved in planning and celebrating instead of watching it from the outside. Then there had been something even better: the small, quiet celebration with Mama, a rare chance for the two to spend time together without either called away by work or school or battle.

So it was in good spirits that Mercury found herself on top of the roof of some nameless building, even when she found it inhabited by someone else. She gave a brisk nod, which served as a greeting rather than rudely ignoring the other girl.

The darker tone of the uniform changes nothing. Immediately, she knows who it is. "Princess Mercury." She takes a knee before the blue-haired girl; she counts herself blessed to see so many of those from the kingdom, alive and well.

A sharp look came from the girl always interested in Silver Millenium history - in fact, a book of the same had been her Christmas gift from a Kunzite who lived in the past life this year.

"You know me?" No one in this life called her that; a few called her Ami and the others knew her as the senshi of Mercury, not its princess. This was from the past.

"Of course, Your Highness." The reply comes as the girl remains on one knee. "I do not fault you for not knowing one such as myself."
