The nexus opens up like a chasm, revealing a garden. It is likely recognizable to those who lived in the Silver Millennium; it is the garden in the inner walls of the Moon Palace. But something is different. It is much, much colder than before, for one. Another thing is the flora - much of it is harsher, darker, than the flowers and fruits known to ( Read more... )

Where there is a garden, there's bound to be Kunzite; particularly, for this one, in the Silver Milennium. He belongs there, too. He gives the 'servant girl' a clipped but genuine smile.

"You tend the flowers well," he admits.

(ooc: as you know, having issues. mostly workable now but still slow. also 1:30am so will prolly bed very soon.)

The presence of the male suddenly appearing out of nowhere starled the girl. For one, he was most definitely not a eunuch. For another, if he wasn't a eunuch, he shouldn't be here. If he were to be found talking to her...

...But, he had complimented her flowers. She bows her head.

"I thank you for your kind words," she replies, though her voice is shaking ever so slightly - a sign of her worry for this man. "I...I like those flowers."

Kunzite is quite capable of defending himself - and the girl, for Endymion's sakw, if he realized who she was. He nods crisply.

"What storm brought them down?" he asks, not having seen enough to know the answer.

"The hand of the empress." The tone becomes sad. "She destroys my flowers when she sees them. She despises them and me."

Endymion fails to realize just what's in front of him and sees only the princess (he'd know her face and form and figure anywhere, even hidden) sneaking out to garden in disguise. It's a charming thought, and he grins.

"Want any help?"

She gasps as she turns to see him. Another man - no. She's seen this man before. In the dreams, all-time-seeing, all-knowing and yet not understanding--

"Sir...to help me, you must hide yourself, now."

It can't be that bad, is what he'd like to say, but he knows enough to know it can.

"Where should I go?" he asks at once. Then, after a pause, "You'll come soon?"

She opens her mouth to respond that no, she could not come (whatever that meant), and that the stranger's presence in the gardens would assure his execution (how did he get in there?) but then she hears the crackling of shoes on gravel. Someone was coming.

Without a second to lose, she quickly goes to shove him behind a pillar.
