It's June 30th, and it's a nice, cool day for drawing outside. Which is precisely what Usagi is doing, especially since she got an amazing gift from her uncle. Given the way she goes through her art supplies, it's welcome to be sure, and these feel very different from what she is used to. More natural

Shermer Park... Usagi stands there in awe. She had began to think that the nexus would only bring her to alternate places in Japan or other parts, not to an alternate of the place she calls home now. It's a welcomed change anyway, so welcomed that she doesn't even find it in her to get angry at the sight of a black haired with with a familiar hairdo. The hair color means nothing for her, she has already met one who was blond, it would surprise her to find one who had the same blue hair color than her

Doo doo doo...the cityscape slowly begins to take shape on the canvas. The...Sears Tower looks slightly small than normal. Oh well. Usagi turns to look at the next part of the panorama....and sees...herself. With...blue hair?

She really shouldn't be so surprised, considering she's met alternate with their natural hair colors actually being the colors they have on when they are sailor senshi. So, of course.

"Hi!" She waves with a smile.

This Usagi looks over at the other, waving her with a smile. Something in her tries to raise a voice, remind her of things but... She's tired of remembering too. Whatever...

She waves back without much energy thought a polite smile is on her lips; "Heya, am I bothering you?" Her alternate seemed to be engrossed in painting something, the landscape maybe?

"Mmm!" She shakes her head no. "Not at all! You're from the nexus, right?"

"Usagi!" That cheerful voice can only belong to Chibi-Usa.

...Only, not so chibi; she looks about Usagi's age or so, maybe sixteen. She has a wide smile on her face, because it's her birthday, too.

"Happy Birthday!"

"Chibi-Usa--"

"--you're big!?"

Lady Serenity giggles at that. "No one calls me that now," she informs Usagi with no small pride (pun intended). "I'm not chibi anymore!"

"Are you having a party?" Time to get to the important things.

(ooc: btw, LJ is failing at notifs as usual, so apologies ahead of time if I get slow/miss something; I'll try to be sure to check frequently enough not to be too late.)

"Am I? Well...we're going out for dinner later! And then we'll have cake at home!"

"U~sa~gi! Birthday giiirl!" And then there's a loud grinning blonde next to Usagi to distract her from her activity. Because, really, who feels like working when there's a Minako around? (Or rather Minako will stop anyone from working in the first place.) Luckily she has been around the nexus enough to know that there are Usagis with different hair colors from the one she knows.

Her grin turns even wider as she looks at the other girl. "Happy birthday!" At least this time the proclamation is a bit more quiet and less obnoxious. It isn't until then that the thought shoots through her head that she didn't bring a present. Oh well, people can hardly expect her to keep up with the nexus' whims, right?

"Aaaah!" Usagi grins; the salutation does its work of having her set down her pencils. "Minako-chan, thank you!!"
