The atmosphere here is unbearable. It's hot, the air feels heavy, and something about the energy of the place feels wrong. Before a massive control panel is a huge crystal that casts a glowing, shifting light. The twisted energy is coming from the crystal itself

Absolutely nothing here feels wrong to Demando. This is probably because he's equally wrong. He strides in as if he owns the place, as if he's the very prince who does. His eyes stay on Saffir; they don't even stray to the jakokuzuishou.

"Hard at work as ever," he remarks.

Strangely, Demand is one of the few who can startle Saffir. He does so now, too, and the boy looks up sharply. "Nii-san!" he exclaims. Here in private, he can call his brother 'Nii-san', as he used to.

Demando cracks a smile; a rarity that Saffir tends to bring out the most.

"Explain your concerns," he says; he's heart earfuls from his own world's Saffir about Metalia already. There might be something more to learn, something relevant for him in this.

Would it do any good? Saffir plunges into it anyway. "Nii-san, the jakokuzuishou is getting more dangerous," he begins. "If it stays like this, will we really be able to control it?"

He turns and paces away a couple of steps.

For some reason, Berthier is here. She cracks a faint smirk at Veneti and Aquatici, but keeps her attention mostly on Saffir.

"Prince Saffir, if the jakokuzuishou is releasing more energy, we should be quick to use it."

"Berthier." Saffir gives the Ayakashi a look bordering between neutral and annoyance.

He could comment on how she should save her ideas for Rubeus, or better yet be quiet and simply carry out her missions without opening that fool mouth. But he says nothing. Instead, he notices something about her is different. Isn't Berthier normally younger looking? There's something about the outfit that's off too, or maybe he's imagining it.

Hey! She's not old at all! That's Calaveras or Petz! Old hags. And her outfit is wonderfully fashionable. As if Saffir would know fashion, hmph.

"Yes?" she asks archly. She doesn't wait for his reply, or any request he might make. She walks towards the jakokuzuishou, and watches it awhile.

"Our success is near. You should be happier," she says.

His Berthier is young enough to be childish. Is she okay with looking like that?

Saffir gives Berthier a 'don't you know anything?' look, and decides to ignore her. The sisters aren't his favorite people in the clan (which leaves few people to be favorites, but that's fine, he has his droids). The jakokuzuishou isn't shimmering anymore.

"Saffir!" Usagi is beaming. This may be surprising. Then again, it's Usagi; it may not be.

"I haven't seen you in awhile! Is everyone doing well?" She hasn't seen her world's Black Moon clan members in quite some time, though she's seen some of them once or twice in the nexus.

Saffir stares wide-eyed at the bouncy princess. "You're--!"

He shifts into a defensive stance, and the two silent droids step in closer. "How did you get here?!"

Oh, she knows about different worlds, but it's Saffir. She really had fun getting to know the sisters, and she has a respect for Saffir and his efforts to help Demando throughout everything that happened. It was like brothers should be.

"Huh? Oh, it was the nexus, I guess!" This, apparently, is supposed to make sense.

Maybe that explains the reaction from the Jakokuzuishou. Whatever this nexus is.

"What nexus?" he demands.
