One Nephrite is currently on the prowl. He walks slowly, eyeing his targets through narrowed eyes. He picks them up easily and tosses them aside. They'll have bruises from this ( Read more... )

Nephrite, dangit. Not Akai. Nephrite. Sheesh. akai_pride May 17 2010, 23:52:22 UTC
"Died?" Nephrite stares openly, alarmed. It does matter if Zoisite was revived; he died. What? Who? How?

There must be something to their stories of the past, because every time he hears about things like this, something twists inside him.

"Wait, why would a youma turn on a shitennou? Even if it was Metalia's?"

"Slow down," Nephrite says. Because really, Zoisite was killed because the master didn't want the princess to be killed? (Even Nephrite can figure out Zoisite must not mean the youma didn't want the princess killed.)

"What does that have to do with you?"

Wait. He can fill in the blanks now, and the blanks say Zoisite died for the princess?

"So you got sacrificed instead," he points out.

"You don't even like her. Why did you do it?" Sure, none of them are fighting the princess or her senshi these days, but she's not exactly a personality that meshes with theirs well.

It's an answer just like he'd expect from Zoisite. Nephrite understands what LeFey has said Mercury doesn't: Loyalty is absolute and giving all of yourself. But to go that far, to lose his life for someone else just because they're connected to the master...

He's not sure if it's impressive or insane.

"What about losing us?" he asks next. If it's a tradeoff, the master would take the princess? He's heard enough of the generally bitter talk around the nexus to know some people say that.

He hadn't quite expected to consider his world lucky. But it seems that it is. Master hadn't left them, they had left him; something like that is what Zoisite is saying. That's right, there was supposed to be a betrayal in the past life. Was that them, and not the master, too?

"The master shouldn't use you to protect the princess."
