Beryl arrives just in time to see Jadeite with his cornered foe. She draws up, almost angrily affronted on his behalf, that someone would challenge her favorite.
This is certainly a loop he didn't expect to be thrown for. Or want to. Jadeite backs up to keep both enemies in his sight, and unleashes the energy at Fish-eye.
Who disappears.
"Missed me! Did you expect me to really stand still?" Jadeite turns and finds the obnoxious Amazon right behind him with another of those knives. He summons his own dagger to hand and ends up stumbling back to dodge instead, the front of his uniform and his cape ripped.
It makes him angry. He's not this clumsy. So Fish-eye can teleport? Fine. It's nothing. But Fish-eye's giggling is annoying him more, though he doesn't lose his cool.
No, wait. She doesn't. She has one thing she'd really like to do right now instead. Her hands make an abrupt gesture and she sends an attack of her own energy straight for...
Fish-eye lands a short distance away, and both he and Jadeite look abruptly at Beryl. "Two on one isn't fair!" he complains. "We'll finish this when you decide to play nice."
And with that, the Amazon is gone. Jadeite swears, then turns and stops, eying Beryl severely. His daggers are still in hand. If she's expecting a thank you, she'll be disappointed.
Maybe the second water ball that gets thrown his way and explodes into a tree will change her mind. Jadeite's dodged that one neatly, and he vaults over the Amazon, landing behind and aiming a couple of well-placed slashes at Fish-eye. Unfortunately, he dodges last moment.
Something's weird, anyway. She knows the shitennou as enemies and comrades both. Seeing Jadeite fighting someone had made her think enemy. But that person hadn't been some human victim; they can fight. Mercury is no longer so sure of what she's doing here, but hurries closer.
She knows Jadeite more than... whoever that is... so the question comes out to him. "What happened here?"
Kunzite puts aside the nagging tiny cough scratch in his throat the moment he sees Jadeite and an enemy. Jadeite seems to have the matter in hand, though, so he hangs back to watch it unfold, drawing his sword and keeping it in hand but not interfering.
Jadeite slams into the ground at another of those water-balls thrown from the slightly-frantic Fish-eye. He swears under his breath and gets up, holding one hand out towards the other.
The ice creeps farther up Fish-eye's legs. And a moment later, there's a nice molding of Fish-eye's legs that's now empty. Jadeite whirls around and barely misses a swipe from another throwing knife.
He's doing pretty well for himself. Aside from a couple of minor attacks that take him off guard, he's beating Fish-eye back. Even if the Amazon does escape from the ice with teleportation. Jadeite tsks in annoyance and goes after the other with his daggers as Fish-eye comes at him with his own throwing knives.

Another series of throwing knives comes at the pair, and though they might be intended for Jadeite, half of them are coming Mercury's direction.
"Get out of the way!" he snaps, and that might be the nicest thing he'll say.

As if this is all just some game, or training exercise, he asks Jadeite the question, too. "Are you having trouble on your own?"
