Piano piano piano PIANO?!

Sep 21, 2009 08:55

There's a fairly big piano. Around the piano is a room that's clearly designed for playing piano. Various related posters hang on the walls and many books with piano music and just random music sheets are found across the room, even on the piano itself. And next to the piano is a short girl playing it. There's also an older woman, Miai's teacher. " ( Read more... )

It's such a different music. It's such a happier sound. It calls to mind memories of laughter and sunshine and carefree days of... childhood?

He has not thought of those days, more centuries behind him than he cares to contemplate, in quite some time. And how many years has it been since he's heard a sound so refreshing?

"Your music is very soothing," Zoisite says in a quiet voice. Now where did he come from suddenly?

Zoisite, the ultimate master of popping up in random places to stalk watch people from afar!

Miai looks up in surprise, she hadn't expected someone else to show up here except for maybe her teacher returning. Her music comes to an abrupt halt as she studies the person standing there. "Kunzite-san..?" She says, frowning just slightly. Why would Kunzite come here?

... And what did he do to his hair?

"You are mistaken," he says, and that soft, gentle voice alone should be another signal that this isn't Kunzite. "The one who stands before you is Zoisite."

He manages something that's close to a smile. "Please, continue to play your music. I do not wish to interrupt you."

Now her mouth forms the shape of an o as she realises it. Now she thinks about it, she somehow recognizes parts of the Zoisite she knows. It's just the hair that keeps throwing her off! They should pick one hair colour and stick with it.

"Ah, you're one of Zoisite-sensei's alternates, right?" Miai smiles. Granted, Zoisite wasn't as much her mentor as Mercury was, but it still was a friendly face. And Miai likes friendly faces.

Then she turns to the piano again, still smiling and continues to play at the point where she left off before.

A piano...? The music is very beautiful. It's relaxing, and Ami finds herself following the sound to a large room. Her eyes take in the reams of sheet music immediately, before they even find the girl sitting at the instrument. She waits for a pause in the music before making any noise.

"I'm very sorry for intruding, but you have a remarkable musical ability. I couldn't help listening to more once I heard it."

What? Of course Miai isn't easily startled! It's just the fact that she has to adjust to the Nexus, right? 8D? Or maybe not.

"Mizuno-sensei!" She says, smiling widely. She'd recognize that voice anywhere. But as she actually takes a look at said Mizuno-sensei, Miai realises that this girl is much too young to be her mentor. So it was the Nexus? .. It was confusing and fun to see a younger version of that woman. Not to mention that this one does have blue hair!

"Ah, Miai-chan's sorry! You.. look a lot like someone Miai-chan knows!" She says, still smiling but a bit sheepishly.

"No, it's alright," Ami says softly. "I've been told something like that before. But, I'm sorry; I don't believe we truly have met."

Awkward. Awkward is a very good word. It's an awkward word, with sounds in it not usually found together. Mmhmm.

"I'm Aisu Miai! Feel free to call me Miai!" Even if it's just an alternate of her mentor, somehow her habit to not talk in third person around adults or people she respects seems to stick with her.

Not to mention Miai still seems to be big on the whole of-course-you-can-trust-random-alternates-of-people-who-are-friendly-in-your-world thing. Probably nothing is able to change that naive thinking. "In my world, you're my mentor!"

Jun walks through the hall, following the sound of familiar music. She hadn't intended to come here, but the nexus had dropped her off here, and recognising the building and knowing Miai's schedule like it was her own, she decided to visit the girl. They seem to have a knack for interrupting the other girl's training.

"Knock, knock." Jun leans against the door frame, rapping lightly on the wood. With a grin, she comes over to her friend, "Scotch over?"

If the music teacher comes back she can always pretend that she's here for a duet right? Though she doesn't really know any guitar and piano combinations...

Jun and Miai have a talent for distracting each other. This will probably prove pretty annoying in battle.

Miai stops playing for a moment and looks over her shoulder, she recognizes that voice. She starts grinning. "Jun-chan!" She really hasn't expected that girl to turn up, but hey, who is Miai to complain about it?

They'll probably think up some super crazy plan that actually somehow works out in the end if Miai's teacher does come back soon.

Actually, Jun's pretty focused in battle. She can't allow herself to get distracted. So she doesn't.

"Whatcha playing?" she asks as she sits on one end of the bench. She glances at the music, managing to decipher some of it slowly. Reading sheet music, like Japanese is something that just doesn't come naturally to her. It takes focus.

Super crazy awesome plan that is.

"Moonlight Sonata," she replies. It's not quite as bouncy as Miai usually is, but it's just plain pretty in her opinion. "It was written by that composer Beethoven!"

Yeah, it might just involve blowing up some things!

I be Doraemon~ (Ack, wrong Kunzite) kiramekinoishi September 21 2009, 11:47:48 UTC
You have a visitor! The shitennou Kunzite stands near the doorway, a small, gentle smile on his countenance. He waits until a pause in the music to speak.

"You're very talented," he compliments.

The music stops abruptly with a loud 'ting'. Miai slightly turns around to see the doorway, only to see a quite familiar white-haired person. ... Deja vu.

"Kunzite-san..?" She says, sounding a bit unsure. Was there something going on? Did they need her? But wouldn't they send Zoisite instead of Kunzite to fetch her then? "Is something.. going on at the palace?" Miai slightly tilts her head sideways, looking worried.

A slightly surprised look. This girl knows him? He shouldn't be surprised. He can feel the aura of the stars from her--she reminds him of someone...

"I'm not from this world," he answers pleasantly with a small shake of his head. "So I'm not here to warn you of anything. I arrived because of the nexus."

childishwisdom September 24 2009, 18:21:04 UTC
So the Nexus it is. At least this is Kunzite, and one who looks like the one she knows with that. She calm down, if not just for those facts. She flashes a bright smile at the man, bowing slightly before properly introducing herself. They've been teaching her good manners quite a lot!

"Nice to meet you, Kunzite-san. I'm Aisu Miai." See? There's even no third-person talking in there! Her mother would be so proud.

"Wow!" Here's a Makoto to marvel at the playing. "That's really good. What are you playing?"

"Huh?" Miai just says, as she stops playing to turn around and face the person who just appeared. That person vaguely resembles Jupiter-san, but then again, this one seems way too young to be her. So who is it then?

"Moonlight Sonata," she just settles on saying with a smile. Her fingers idly slide over some of the piano keys as she thinks about things.

"Say, are you.. Makoto-san?" Saying Jupiter would give away everything way too much, but at least this was safe. And it helped to get rid of her curiosity for now.

"Yeah, that's me! And, the music, that's...um," Who played that again? She wasn't paying all that much attention in that music elective last year....crap. Just throw out a random person. "That's Mozart, right?"

Miai giggles. She's not laughing at you, really, she just.. always laughs.

"Close enough! It's Beethoven." She could easily forgive the girl for that, if not just because the music is ancient by now. But considering how old this version of Makoto looks, Miai guesses she's from a long time ago as well.
