The World Died Out

Jun 03, 2009 21:39

There was no more time for tarrying. It had been that daimon at the temple which had been the last straw for Haruka, for Sailoruranus. It had been having to look at the horrified realization in Pearl's eyes as she saw that the boy wasn't there anymore, that he had died with the final slash of Sailoruranus' sword, died as some grotesque mutation. She couldn't hate Haruka for going off alone - the wind did as it pleased, as did the sea. They were fathful companions, however, and whereever one went, the other followed.

By the time Sailorneptune got to the inner labs, she could hear the blasts from the attacks, shouts of attacks coming through the debris. Sailorneptune grasped her talisman, the Deep Aqua Mirror, in her hand, calling the powers of the oceans and seas to her whims.

"Deep Submerge!" The attack flew towards Kaorinite. Hopefully, her lover wouldn't be pushed into the way.

They'd worked together long enough that Uranus knew how to get out of the way of such blasts.

The senshi has positioned herself just in time before Neptune's attack that she could launch her own from the other side. "World Shaking!"

The two attacks burst forward and crashed around Kaorinite simultaneously.

...Or that was what was supposed to happen. The blasts which usually worked so well together canceled each other out and Kaorinite stood unscathed a few paces away, laughing coldly. "Is that all you have? Pathetic!" She raised her staff. "Magus Freeze!"

Caught directly in the blast, Uranus suddenly makes no move--she can't, except to warn her partner. "Neptune! Watch out for her attacks." Kaorinite wasn't terribly strong, except for her magic.

Neptune made little reaction when the attacks cancelled each other out. That usually never happened - the woman infront of them was stronger than she thought. Her eyes narrowed. She saw what you did there, Kaorinite.

The Sea senshi nodded to her partner, eyes trained on the witch before her. Her mirror clutched loosely in her gloved hand. She watched Kaorinite a moment circling closer to Uranus before she launched another attack. "Deep Submerge!"

Kaorinite is somehow caught off-guard by the attack, and stumbles back, holding herself up momentarily by her staff. The woman composes herself, and raises her staff. "Magus Flash!"

The attack was one to blind Neptune as she went in for a second attack. "Magus Destruction!"

Something was very wrong. Zoisite's hands paused above the black and white keys of his piano. He turned his head, as though unsure, and then stood up. With a wave of his arm to wrap his cape around himself, he appeared at the source of the power he'd suddenly felt.

He stiffened as he arrived just in time to see Tomoe had shed the skin of the human host and reverted to the form of the completed daimon. A curved dagger shone in his hands immediately.

Kunzite appeared shortly after Zoisite, arriving in a cloud of dark rose petals. His hand went to his side, where his sword appeared in its sheath. He drew it immediately, on-guard in his warrior's crouch.

Mercury. Wherever you are, you need to be here, NOW. It's the Death Busters.

The message had been short and to the point. Jadeite arrived just after Kunzite did. He probably would have arrived at the same time as Kunzite, if not earlier, if he'd not been trying to locate the troublesome senshi.

The youngest shitennou's daggers are drawn as he shifts into a fighting position with the other generals.

Kaorinite had been taken care of.

Hotaru was no more. And this time, nothing of her abominable body remained to be built upon any more.

Sailoruranus stood some feet away as the shitennou arrived one by one, and she gave them little more attention for the moment than an irritated glare from the corner of her eye. Late as usual.

The senshi lifts her sword, eyes narrowing at the distorted form of what used to be Professor Tomoe. She steps closer to Neptune. They can handle this. Somehow.
