So I've always held, and understand with complete certainty, that life isn't fair. But everytime something happens that asserts this foundation, I'm always a little bitter.

Why do bad things have to happen to good people? Why do other people always have to hurt? Why are my pains always...so minimal compared to theirs, when I know my life has been

No, life is most certainly not fair. It slaps me in the face sometimes; the misfortune that is happening to someone just I type this out.
